Yes. You are framing correctly, I believe. The analytical side is wildly overemphasized. Among other things I would do what I did at the Rotman School and integrate design principles into the curriculum. But it is very hard. Faculty hates it. R

If what you’re doing is arm waving, keep waving 👋🏼. It was actually a rude remark, I think it says something about the “academic” environment.

I think many Business school academics (& graduates) are too invested in the past, their knowledge is still useful for analyzing the past but the essential change is a paradigm shift that requires them to admit their faults, this requires courage & the imagination to reshape their future, to DO strategy.
